Parking RheinEnergieSTADION, Cologne

Parking at the RheinEnergieSTADION in Cologne is mainly organised around event car parks. Around 7,500 car spaces are available around the stadium, but most of the main areas open only for matches, concerts and other large events.

Event parking at the RheinEnergieSTADION

The main event car parks are P1, P3, P6, P7 and P8. For 1. FC Köln home matches, an online car parking ticket currently costs €10 for a passenger car. Concert parking can cost €15 when booked in advance. P3, P7 and P8 support advance online booking, while parking tickets for P1 are available on the event day. On-site payment is cashless.

Use the event signs rather than relying only on a standard sat-nav route. The usual access points are:

• P1: via Militärringstraße and Wendelinstrasse.
• P3: via Brauweiler Weg.
• P6: via Militärringstraße, Dürener Straße or Salzburger Weg.
• P7: via Dürener Straße.
• P8: the designated bus parking area at Salzburger Weg.

For navigation outside major events, the stadium address is Junkersdorfer Straße 1, 50933 Cologne. Event traffic management can direct cars to a different entrance, so follow the route and car park shown with the event parking ticket.

P2 Parkhaus and public transport to the stadium

P2 Parkhaus Stadion is beside the RheinEnergieSTADION tram stop at Aachener Straße 1003. Parking costs €2.50 per day, and the charge is waived when you buy a public transport ticket. This makes P2 a practical option for drivers who want to leave the car outside the event car parks and continue by tram.

Tram line 1 stops at RheinEnergieSTADION. The Weiden-West park-and-ride facility is another option for busy match and concert days, with line 1 continuing to the stadium.

Opening times and traffic on match days

For football matches, the main parking areas generally open four hours before kick-off and close three hours after the final whistle. Arrive early because queues can build up on the approach roads and around the parking entrances.

Concert arrangements can differ. P3 and P6 may open from 10:00, while P1, P7 and P8 generally open one hour before the stadium admission time. Check the conditions for the specific event before setting off, particularly if you need to arrive several hours early.

Parking restrictions at the RheinEnergieSTADION

The stadium parking areas are not overnight facilities. Cars must leave after the event, and motorhomes cannot use the stadium parking areas. There are also no electric vehicle charging points at the event car parks, so charge before travelling or arrange an alternative charging stop.

Drivers bringing a larger vehicle should check the vehicle category when buying a ticket. Neighbouring categories have different charges: a nine-seater or motorhome ticket is €20 where that category is accepted, while buses for ten or more people cost €30.
