Parking Fasangarten, Munich

Parking in Fasangarten: street zones and visitor tariffs

Parking in Fasangarten is mainly a street-parking matter, with parts of the area covered by resident permit zones and mixed parking. Visitors should check the sign at the start of each street or parking bay before leaving the vehicle.

Where the visitor tariff applies, street parking costs €2 per hour, charged at €0.10 per started three minutes, with a daily maximum of €11. A lower time limit on the sign takes priority, so the daily maximum does not guarantee that a vehicle may remain for 24 hours.

Visitor parking and permits in Fasangarten

Resident parking permits give local residents priority in designated parking permit areas. Visitors may use bays marked for mixed or visitor parking when they pay the required charge and follow the stated maximum stay.

A parking ticket does not make a resident-only space legal to use. Check whether the sign requires a permit, a ticket, a parking disc or a combination of these before parking.

Free and short-stay parking in Fasangarten

There is no general supply of free, unrestricted roadside parking in Fasangarten. Short free periods may apply in specifically signed bays, while customer parking areas are private and normally subject to conditions such as shopping, a parking disc or a maximum stay.

Do not rely on an online listing to confirm free parking at a particular address. The signs at the space determine whether parking is allowed, how long it may last and whether payment is required.

Overnight and longer-stay parking in Fasangarten

For a longer visit, a signed street space can be cheaper than repeatedly moving the vehicle, with the €11 daily maximum applying where the relevant tariff and time conditions allow it. Check the maximum stay and any overnight restrictions, especially in resident permit areas.

Paid parking spaces and underground spaces are also available in the wider Obergiesing-Fasangarten area, but access, height limits and charges vary by facility. For a future longer stay, drivers can check Mobypark for availability as local supply changes.

Parking penalties in Fasangarten

Parking without a valid ticket or exceeding the paid period normally leads to a warning charge. The amount increases with the length of the overstay:

Parking in a prohibited place, blocking others or using a marked accessible bay without authorisation can cost at least €55. Towing and administration can add substantially to the total.
