Parking in Donaustadt: street zones and time limits

Parking in Donaustadt is easiest to manage when you check the short-stay zone signs before leaving the car. In the standard Vienna short-stay zone, parking is limited to two hours and payment applies from Monday to Friday on working days, between 09:00 and 22:00.

There are no roadside parking meters. Buy a paper parking ticket in advance or pay through the city's mobile parking service, and display or activate it correctly before walking away.

Donaustadt street parking prices and free periods

A standard parking ticket costs €1.70 for 30 minutes, equivalent to €3.40 per hour. Tickets are available for 15, 30, 60, 90 and 120 minutes. The free 15-minute ticket cannot be combined with another parking ticket.

Parking is normally free in the standard zone from 22:00 to 09:00, at weekends and on public holidays. Check the signs on designated shopping streets, where different hours apply: payment is generally required on weekdays from 08:00 to 18:00 and on Saturdays from 08:00 to 12:00, with a maximum stay of 90 minutes.

Long-stay parking at P+R Donaustadtbrücke

P+R Donaustadtbrücke at Am Kaisermühlendamm 113b is open 24 hours and has 593 spaces, making it more suitable for a full-day stay than street parking. The maximum charge is €4.60 for 24 hours. The car park has direct access to the U2 and an entry height of 2.10 metres.

At present, no bookable spaces are available through Mobypark in Donaustadt; check again before a future visit in case availability changes.

Parking at Klinik Donaustadt and Donauspital

The car park at Klinik Donaustadt, Langobardenstraße 122, allows the first 20 minutes free. After that, each started hour costs €3. This is useful for short hospital visits, but longer appointments can become more expensive than a day-rate car park.

Follow the hospital parking signs and allow extra time to find a space during busy appointment periods. Reserved accessible bays are available close to the entrance for vehicles displaying the required disabled parking authorisation.

Garage parking at Donau Zentrum and Donaustädter Bad

The Donau Zentrum car parks provide around 1,330 spaces with direct access to the shopping centre. The standard tariff is €2.80 per started hour, up to €28 in 24 hours. Access is generally available from 06:00 to 21:00 on weekdays and from 06:00 to 19:00 on Saturdays; the centre's car parks are closed on Sundays. Club members can receive two hours free under the centre's parking conditions.

The Donaustädter Bad car park at Portnergasse 38 has 15 spaces and is accessible for entry and exit around the clock. It charges €3 per hour, with a €12 maximum for 24 hours. An overnight tariff from 19:00 to 09:00 is capped at €5, making it a practical option for an evening or overnight stay when a space is available.

Resident parking and reserved bays in Donaustadt

Residents with a valid Donaustadt Parkpickerl can use designated resident parking spaces throughout the 22nd district without an additional charge and without a time limit. The same applies to vehicles displaying a valid disabled parking permit.

These permissions apply only to marked resident spaces and do not remove other restrictions. Businesses and certain service vehicles may use some resident bays during working hours only when they hold the relevant authorisation and, where required, a paid day or weekly permit.

Parking penalties and checks in Vienna's 22nd district

Leaving a vehicle without a valid ticket, setting the parking clock incorrectly or exceeding the permitted stay can result in a €30 penalty until the end of 2026. The penalty is scheduled to rise to €60 from 1 January 2027.

Check the zone sign, ticket duration and displayed registration details before leaving the vehicle. A parking notice must be paid within 14 days; late payment can lead to formal enforcement and additional administrative costs.
