Finding parking near FC Bayern Museum, Munich
Parking for the FC Bayern Museum is provided at the Allianz Arena, with different arrangements on non-matchdays and FC Bayern home matchdays. The right car park, tariff and access conditions depend on the date of your visit.
Parking at the FC Bayern Museum on non-matchdays
On non-matchdays, museum visitors can use the north coach park (Busparkplatz Nord). Cars and motorbikes cost €5 per day, with the first 45 minutes free. The car park is open from 8:00 to 19:00 from 1 September to 31 May, and until 20:00 from 1 June to 31 August.
Payment is available at the machines by debit or credit card, with cash accepted at some machines. Follow the signs for visitor parking after arriving at the Allianz Arena.
Walking from the north car park to the museum
From the north coach park, enter through the north turnstiles, take the ramp up to level 2 and follow the signs for the FC Bayern Museum and Arena Tours. Allow roughly 7 to 10 minutes to walk from the car park to the museum entrance.
Matchday parking for the FC Bayern Museum
On FC Bayern home matchdays, car drivers must use the P1, P2 or P3 multi-storey car parks. Together, these car parks provide around 9,800 spaces and open from 8:00 on matchdays.
- €12: single parking ticket using number-plate recognition when arranged by the day before the match
- €15: single parking ticket using number-plate recognition on matchday
- €20: payment at the exit without number-plate recognition
The north coach park is reserved for buses on matchdays. Entry to the Allianz Arena on a matchday requires both a valid match ticket and a FC Bayern Museum ticket. Drivers can check Mobypark for future availability around the museum before travelling.
Driving directions and public transport to the FC Bayern Museum
By car, use the A9 exit München-Fröttmaning-Süd or the A99 exit München-Fröttmaning-Nord, then follow the traffic signs for the Allianz Arena and the designated car parks. The arena is outside Munich's low-emission zone.
The U6 underground line runs to Fröttmaning. From the station, allow approximately 25 minutes to walk to the museum via the Esplanade and the south entrance. Public transport is particularly useful on matchdays, when parking demand and traffic around the arena are higher.
FC Bayern Museum opening hours and parking planning
On non-matchdays, the museum is generally open daily from 10:00 to 18:00, with last admission at 17:15. Matchday opening hours vary, so check the schedule for the specific fixture before driving to the arena.
For 2026, the museum is closed from 13 April to 24 May for refurbishment. It is also closed on 24, 25 and 26 December, 31 December and 1 January. Further special opening times can apply during events and refurbishment work.
Overnight and long-stay parking near the museum
The north coach park is not intended for long-term car parking on non-matchdays. Cars must be removed no later than two hours after the Allianz Arena closes. Motorhomes may stay overnight at a €20 per night rate.
For a normal museum visit, plan to arrive within the car park's opening hours and leave before the permitted closing time. Overnight parking for an ordinary car is not a suitable option at the venue.
